The application hosts and processes your uploaded research material within the European Union.
Encrypted connections protect data while it moves. Stored research content is protected with 256-bit AES encryption.
Your uploaded content and analysis results are not used to train the underlying AI models.
QualiDialog is a cloud-based service. Your project and the AI service have different roles in the process.
Documents and other research material are stored in your QualiDialog project on Google Cloud infrastructure in the EU.
Your projectQualiDialog sends the information needed for your requested analysis to Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service through an encrypted connection.
AI processing in the EUThe AI response returns to QualiDialog. You examine the evidence, pursue follow-up questions, and decide what the findings mean.
Back to your projectAI processing supports the analysis you request. It does not give the AI provider ownership of your research material or permission to use it for model training.
LLM processing locations
LLM processing takes place in Sweden. If processing in Sweden is unavailable, France or Poland is used as a backup.
All three locations are in the EU. These are the locations for LLM processing; the application’s hosting infrastructure has a separate role.
When you request transcription
If you request transcription, the audio or video is sent through an encrypted connection to AssemblyAI’s European servers to produce the transcript.
Files submitted to AssemblyAI are not used for model training. Under the processing arrangement described in our Compliance document, submitted data is removed by AssemblyAI after processing.
Transcription processing
Decide which information is needed for your research. You can anonymise or pseudonymise material before uploading it. The desktop anonymizer processes source files locally on your computer.
You retain ownership of the material you upload and the analysis results. Your research content is used to provide the services you request.
You can delete documents and projects. The contractual retention and deletion provisions, including any applicable legal obligations, are set out in the terms and Data Processing Agreement.
For uploaded research content, the customer generally acts as data controller and QInsights B.V. acts as processor. The customer determines the legal basis, participant information, and any safeguards needed for sensitive research data.
Account, contact, and billing information is handled separately from uploaded research content. Some providers for those services process information outside the EU. The Privacy Policy explains these distinctions.
