Why we built QualiDialog
QualiDialog grew from a desire to support researchers in developing understanding through dialogue with AI, while keeping human insight and methodological judgement at the centre.
A research-driven approach
We are building software around a way of thinking about qualitative research in the age of AI. QualiDialog combines AI capabilities with the contextual knowledge, reflection and interpretative work that researchers bring to their analysis.
Our work is grounded in qualitative research traditions. We translate analytical processes into accessible, research-driven workflows, helping researchers engage with their material and develop meaningful interpretations.
Built on an ethical compass
Our approach is transparent and responsible, with the researcher in control of the analysis. AI can suggest connections, offer alternative readings and help examine an emerging explanation. Researchers decide what those contributions mean and how they relate to the study.
Ethical co-intelligence means making space for this exchange while taking questions of data protection, bias and analytical responsibility seriously.

Through webinars, articles, publications and our podcast, we share practical experience and examine what AI-supported qualitative research can become.
We aim to work as we ask researchers to work: reflectively, with curiosity and an openness to learning. QualiDialog develops through honest dialogue with the people who use it. Their questions and experiences help us identify what works, what needs reconsidering and where to go next.
